I wonder if that means they had lots of the others left to form enough sets of 3. Probably took what was left from the first sale and matched the other two sales to that number.redraw said:Regular sold out pretty quickly!!!???

The thing that's messed up about the variants is that when you put them together it defeats the point of the poster in my mind. The blue and red have a good/evil, angel/demon thing going on, but with the variants the images and the colours don't match up and make any sense.
Not to me at least."Born on third, thinks he got a triple."0 -

Maybe "good/evil", "angel/demon" are in the eye of the beholder.0
-
I know what you meant. I was saying that maybe the colors on the variants represent that the concepts of " good/evil" and "angel/demon" aren't that cut and dried. Or maybe Ames just wanted to supply what customers want - variants!
Either way, more power to them!0 -

They do look pretty good together in the set of 3, but I find the Seattle one, by itself, is not really my cup of tea :( I bought one at the show, but it might be stuck in a poster tube for a while.0

So now all of the posters are available - even the LA & SF variants that were previously "sold out"....??'95: Brisbane BEC March 21 & 22 '98: Brisbane BEC March 14 & 15 '03: Brad Surfers Paradise Troccadero Jan 11

I would assume they are moving inventory around to make the individual posters available again (i.e., reducing the number of triptych sets available).redraw said:So now all of the posters are available - even the LA & SF variants that were previously "sold out"....??

They were available again before the sets even went up. I'm glad they're making their money instead of flippers, but seems a little weird that an "edition of 85" was sold out for over a week, and now is listed as an "edition of 85" again.I mean I dare you to sing "Black" and not feel it.
I dare you.
I've tried to phone in "Jeremy" a few times, and it's tough.
It doesn't work.0 -

I decided to pass, maybe the 10c sale..."Born on third, thinks he got a triple."0

The only one I liked single was the SF one on the left. The two on the right and middle I didn't like at all. Though all together they look pretty damn awesome. I don't have that much wall space, but this triptych is a thing of beauty!northerndragon said:Here is all three Ames posters together. They weren't selling the Seattle on today though so that sucked.
1991- Hollywood Palladium, California with Temple of the Dog, Soundgarden, and Alice in Chains -RIP Magazine Show Oct. 6th

I imagine because some people don't like the posters and others can't afford them...0

It was rhetorical and you are correct.shecky said:I imagine because some people don't like the posters and others can't afford them...
