I saw them open at a Death Cab shows last year, loved them, forgot about them, and then bought two of their CDs in preparation for Hartford this year. They're not to everyone's liking I'm quite sure, but I think they're awesome. I don't really know how to describe them though. Their stuff is on iTunes and I suggest listening to anything off Shake the Sheets.

I have been listening them in prep for the tour too. Check out:

    Hearts of Oak
    Tyranny of Distance
    Shake the Streets

I've bought those three and they are all very solid albums! I think it will be worth cutting myself off the booze early to see them at least once or twice.

They're kinda indie, kinda punk, kinda alternative.

They are extremely talented. Their style might not be for everyone, but they create great music.

IMO one of their strongest songs is “Little Dawn”.

I think they might have strong feelings against the war:

    “BOMB. REPEAT. BOMB”

    Let me tell you this....

Ted Leo is AMAZING... When I saw them on the bill as the opener for all of the shows I'm going to, I nearly died... Pearl Jam my favorite band of all time PLUS Ted Leo and the Pharmacists which I would consider my 3rd favorite band right behind Broken Social Scene... they are incredible live and the energy Ted puts out is outstanding...

You will not be disappointed... my favorite album is Hearts of Oak but Tyranny of Distance is great too... the latest album is not my favorite but it has some good stuff on it.

Check out Me and Mia, that's a great song... and someone mentioned Little Dawn... My personal favorite song is I'm A Ghost... but some people might not get into it fast.

here's little dawn from conan: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIX47Eo7s2A&feature=related

and here's the official music video for little dawn http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LsuC_dB77PI

    I saw them last week

I only knew Living With The Living(good cd)

Loved the vibe and the attitude. UP tempo is always better ;)

Not sure how it will come across from the upper levels or the lawns, though

Personally, I wouldn't trade tailgaiting for Ted Leo, but that's just me.

Although... openers on the PJ tour have a way of becoming the Next Big Thing, so that's worth considering.
