I literally just laughed out loud to this

Cubs can come back but it's not looking good. Reminds me of when the Miami Heat proclaimed themselves champs before actually doing it.

If you are talking about the 2006 season, you would be incorrect! In 2006 when the Mavericks lead the series 2-0 it was the Mavericks who started to plan out their championship parade and celebrations! This pissed Wade off, and the boys went to work and won 4 straight games to put the series away. If you are referring to Lebron's arrival, I would agree there was some early swagger going around, however they still made it to 4 straight finals winning 2 in a row! The first season of the big 3 we needed to expect that there was some time to be given for the team to figure out how to play together. As for the last season of the big 3 the Spurs just flat out out-played us, as well as out coached us. But hey, a 25 year old franchise making 18 playoff appearances is something I will take any time from my home team. But back to the cubbies, yup not looking good. I honestly never thought they stood a chance on this series! They are simply out matched. The Indians have a better Manager, better bullpen, and deeper a roster of guys who can smash the ball. But like Eddie sings "maybe someday they will go all the way" just doesn't look like it's going to be this day.

I was referring to lebron. He said not 1, not 2, not 3, so on and so forth. The Heat won 2 in a row which was nice but they lost that first year.

Oh, agreed to a certain extent. I think I speak for mos of the Heat fans here in Miami, that the pep rally that was held here in Miami was full of empty promises, and a lot of early swagger.

Cleveland came back from being down 3-1 in the last NBA Final. It's time for them to lose that way....

Maybe they should stop partying like they won the world series, until they actually win a World Series

Last year I remember a big party with EV there after they won the NLDS and this year it was after the NLCS...

It's pretty clear that there is a Pearl Jam curse. Any baseball stadium that Pearl Jam performs in condemns the home team of said stadium to lose to the Cleveland Indians.

That's why concerts are so much better than shelling out a fortune for a sporting event. Everyone win's at a concert and most people go home happy. Sporting event's, not so much :)

Come down to FYE and preorder the new Pearl Jam "Never Going All the Way". Spring 2017! Featuring the singles "Balk" and "Picked Off"
  • Yeah I'm rooting for Cleveland too, sorry cubs fans. You guys need one for sure but I always end up going for the underdog and you've just got too much pressure on your team. Rarely works out for you when everyone says you're the one, but it's so or die tonight, good luck
