It only took and instant
Everything changed
Memories so clear
Yet blurred by speed

Fear, regret, helpless
The world turned upside down
Screech of metal meeting concrete
Changing life's path instantly
Sound of shattered glass
That's what I hear the most

Another chance stolen from someone else
Grateful, guilt, regret
No way to change it
Don't know if I would

A light bulb explodes
Different place, same time
Back to screeching metal
And shattered glass
Chances given that should have been denied
Anything you lose from being honest
You never really had to begin with.


Sometimes it's not the song that makes you emotional it's the people and things that come to your mind when you hear it.
