so wish this one was for fenway
  • I'm not a collector and I rarely buy posters for shows I didn't attend, but as a baseball fan and looking at the quality of this design, I had to pick one up. It's a really nice piece.

Surprised it's still available at this point...Thanks Santos!

Everybody will be tracking this down when the Cubs win the world series and the wrigley dvd comes out

    That won't help sales...

This is the 2nd best Wrigley 16 poster IMO, but it's a distant 2nd behind the Faile. I have both of them framed and on my wall, and I find myself staring at the Faile all the time...this one not so much.

Is it weird that I like baseball posters and movies, but think it's a boring sport in general? Anyway, thanks for the heads up!

Not weird... its an incredibly boring sport to watch... and only slightly less boring to play. :coffee:
It's so slow. I'm going to try to watch the series but will probably fall asleep unless it's the final game and the Cubs win.

    Great things about this poster:
Band members (though faceless) represented, only a handful of PJ posters that have that
    Cubs colors
    Cool dimension, long and skinny

I think it is the best of the Wrigley posters. Faile is too busy and though it has great references, it is just ugly to look at. I would buy it but I already have two of them. The value will definitely go up if the Cubs win! Anything Cubs/Wrigley related for 2016 will be priceless after a couple years. :)

Yes, it went on sell on the 25th, the same day as the Thomas.

Still surprised that the poster is still up.

This poster is sweet. It sold out pretty fast at the shows. Maybe everyone got theirs at the show, and the flippers are staying away from this. The Faile will make too much money for the flippers to pass up.

Yeah. Klausen is awesome (his MK poster might be my favorite ever), but like his Memphis 14 poster, this one is too busy.

I have this Wrigley one on my wall, and do like it. But I think I might have figured out the trick. Due to it being overly busy, it's hard to make out much unless you are right in front of the poster. So maybe it needs to hang in a hallway where you only ever see it when it's right in front of your face?

Agreed.... I also got the Mark5 while at the Fenway shows. I was hoping for something different from Mark5 (more Boston city and/or baseball centric) than what we got, but his posters are always clean. The other stadium posters were easy passes for me. Have a nice weekend, everyone. This vault 6 flac is tremendous!

  • I can understand why people like it, as the colors are great and really pop. But I think it suffers greatly from having to try to figure out everything that's going on ... aka too busy. It's hard, for me anyway, to see the poster in its entirety. The whole seems to be less than the sum of its parts. It's like that dinner where things taste great separately but don't necessarily come together as a satisfying meal.

Obviously it says a lot about its general appeal when it's still available 24-plus hours after first appearing in The Shop.

I went to both Fenway shows and initially picked out Thomas and Eaton (to represent going to two shows). I ended up getting the Mark-V as well. Had I gone to Wrigley, my top choice would have been this one (Klausen) and probably Clover.

One thing we should keep in mind is that they did seem to produce a lot more of these ballpark posters than normal show posters. So not selling out right away, maybe isn't quite the negative that it might be for a normal show poster.

I would never buy a poster of a show I wasn't at but this particular poster just seems way too busy for me. Even if I went to wrigley I would not buy this one. It's like a bunch of colors puked onto a poster and created this.
I'll ride the wave where it takes me......

No doubt they did produce a lot more. My final comment was in relation to people posting that seemed shocked that this was still available when only an hour had gone by since going up. It's good in it's own way, but from a sought-after perspective it's not in the same league as Thomas' poster for Fenway. That screams classic and it feels like Fenway Park; Klausen's design is wildly creative and colorful but in general doesn't really connect one to historic Wrigley Field, because it has a modern, maybe even futuristic, style about it.
