So, this guy who scored 4 goals tonight in his debut? The two guys to get three in their debuts (in the last ren years), I've never heard of.

Derek Stepan is decent. Averages around 50 pts per year for the Rangers. The other guy only played in 100 NHL games; has played in the Swedish professional league since 2012.
Auston Matthews...kids got game...he out deaked every single Ottawa player to score a goal last night...got good hands

His puck movement on that 3rd goal... through the legs of two consecutive defenders, then a possession steal, then completely fooling the last defender ahead of him. That was a sight!

I love baseball but was jacked for night 1 last night.
Quickie getting hurt? Not so excited. Go Kings Go!
(And I almost drafted Price this year, ND, I love the guy. Drafting him last year and having him hurt drove me nuts. Hope he does well this year.)

I'm hoping this year the Bruins can make the playoffs last year was such a disappointment. The despised Pens won the Cup, I actually had to look up who won cause I dislike them so much. That said......

Hockey is the worst. It's a tick above soccer on the list of pro sports. But I will say it is better than the NBA. Baseball, football, hockey, the rest

Was yesterday a national holiday in Canada? I'm not a hockey guy but I've learned a sure fire way to strike up a conversation with just about any Canandian. "So, who's your favorite hockey team?"

To say its the worst & only only a nudge better than soccer. Are you kidding me!!! Its fast paced, its a contact sport and way more exciting than soccer, baseball and football in my mind.
This comment is going to open up a can of worms - I think the reason alot of americans don't like hockey is because it moves to fast for them to keep up. Football has a stoppage like every 20 seconds, basketball is much the same and I find baseball extremely boring.

A lot of Americans dont like it because they were not exposed to it as kids and haven't found their way to a game to attend in person.
Most hard core fans in America (most not all) come from cold weather places OR go frequently to the games.
If you didn't play the game as a kid, or know people who did....if it wasn't a part of your culture growing up, that is why many Americans don't follow or appreciate the great game of hockey. (My opinion only, as always.)

Everyone grows up around football, baseball, and yes....even that drudgery known as basketball in the US. This is the big difference.

Once people see it live? Would be surprised if they don't like it 10x more than before that.
