Interesting how so many people only care about what affects them directly. Oil spill that hit land? DISASTER!!!!! Oil spill that moves out to sea? Meh. Even though the environmental impact can be just as bad.

Horseshit. Its cheaper for them to do nothing.

"BP believes that allowing the oil to disperse naturally at sea is the best way to deal with the spill, although other options have not been ruled out."

Unfortunately, I believe that given the situation, it is the best current option. Corexit was used in the deepwater horizon leak. The effects of corexit was and still is much worse than oil. I welcome people to research it. Very very sad

  • I remember being at a concert during the first BP mishap (PJ fans help me out here as to which one) and Eddie asked the crowd to follow along as we chanted "Don't buy BP" for a few notes.

Hate to be the bad guy here but that specific situation was Chicago trying to blame BP for pollution of Lake Michigan. The reality of it was Chicago was trying to deflect when they themselves were polluting the lake.
