Still waiting in Ireland. Yeah, the last two posters I bought got nailed with the custom charge. It's the first time it has happened. Did 10c used to have a warehouse in Europe?

Same here, 11 quid. Vaults have previously come direct from Europe. Not sure why the change this time.

  • I was already regretting ordering these from 10C… it's now starting to look like a disastrous decision. We live and learn.
If I knew where it was, I would take you there...

Financially disastrous. Obviously I will live to tell the (not very interesting) tale…

I've just got a customs charge notification through the door for £11.01. If this is for just Yield then I can only assume that Ten Club have put the wrong value on the package. The cost of Yield was $19.99, which at the time I ordered was exchanged for £13.75. Any goods below £15 in value should not be liable for customs charges. You can appeal the customs charge with UK Border Force, but if the sender has put the wrong amount on the goods then Royal Mail keep their £8 processing fee.

This is true but since they were made available pound has tanked. 10c are usually accurate with the values listed. $20 is about £15.50 or so now. Also since they privatised royal mail have been really hot on customs charges as it is another revenue stream for them. So basically we're pretty much shit out of luck buying anything from overseas for the foreseeable. It would be great if we could self clear. I don't really mind paying the tax, it's the excessive fee you can't avoid that hacks me off.
