BM says its an indie exclusive. Before people go nuts over trying to get one from BM or from someone here, you should ask your local if they are getting the orange one. If this is like lots (most) Indie exclusives there will be plenty and they will be at most independent record stores.
Yeah from what I ve read he bailed because the watt fans really started to resent him.
I've also heard that Ed tried to keep his presence on the tour "low key", and keep it about Watt and his songs - but then Pearl Jam fans started showing up and the crowds started getting a bit out of hand for some of the smaller venues they were playing. Seems hard to do, especially when you appear on national TV promoting the tour!

It's too bad they aren't releasing any video of the Metro show or any other show on the tour. We know it's out there.
I went to the show in Cleveland 2 nights before the show at the Metro. It was fantastic!

Is there no other online record store gonna take pre orders on the orange vinyl or is this exclusive to Bull Moose? As well the black vinyl is only available for preorder @ Amazon USA.

The Metro video is out there. It was on Vimeo or what's the online station that does video.. forget what it's called. They posted a really good version of it, so if you want to watch it, it's out there.

Mike Watt releasing live album of his 1995 Eddie Vedder/Dave Grohl lineup By Alex McCown-Levy@alexm247

Today in music news comes word of an impending release that is absolutely going to set the world on fire, if by “the world” you mean the “hot alternative buzz” section of a mall Sam Goody from 20 years ago. Columbia Legacy Recordings are teaming up to issue a live album of ex-fIREHOSE/Minutemen bassist Mike Watt from 1995, called “Ring Spiel” Tour ’95. Those of you old enough to recall the details will know this was the superstar-laden tour Watt assembled in the wake of his solo album, Ball-Hog Or Tugboat? With opening bands Hovercraft (featuring Eddie Vedder) and Foo Fighters (pre-stadium-level fame, when the rhythm section was still both guys from Sunny Day Real Estate), Watt stacked his own group’s lineup with members of both acts. Meaning, this new live double album features Vedder, Dave Grohl, Pat Smear, and William Goldsmith. Complete track listing is below (preorders available here) to remind you of those solo Watt tunes, since you haven’t owned them since you sold Tugboat back to the used store, because that oversize novelty CD case it came in was just ridiculous.
“Ring Spiel” Tour ’95 track listing:
01 Walking the Cow 02 Big Train 03 Formal Introduction 04 Against the ’70s 05 Drove Up from Pedro 06 Habit 07 Makin’ the Freeway 08 Chinese Firedrill 09 Piss-Bottle Man 10 Forever…One Reporter’s Opinion 11 E-Ticket Ride 12 Political Song for Michael Jackson 13 Coincidence is Either Hit or Miss 14 The Red and the Black 15 Secret Garden 16 Powerful Hankerin’
I agree. I was too young to get in. It was the days before the internet... I waited outside the alley the 2nd night of the tour, when radio stations were talking about "rumors" of who was showing up from the first show in Phoenix (I think). Met everyone throughout the night, talked with Beth from Hovercraft for about 15-20 minutes, Eddie told me to join the fan club cause they get first pick at tickets (boy am I ever glad I listened to him). I shook Dave Grohl's hand and said "Dave that sounded really cool from out here." And he said "Thanks man," with a look of sincerity like he was really touched to hear that (remember Foo Fighters had played maybe what, 2 shows to this point, and no one had really heard his own songs). It was a night I will never forget. Looking forward to the album.
I also remember seeing the video footage, of all things, on some concert show that aired after Friday Night Videos on NBC back then. I thought it was totally random that I just happened to catch it at like 2 am or whatever it was. I've got it on a VHS bootleg somewhere.

here's my story. The Foos got sick and in Santa Cruz it was only Watt and his buddy he called up on drums. No Foos, no Eddie.

It totally sucks they still don't ship outside of the USA. :(
