+1RhinoJam said:So, at work today i'm getting to listen to the Randall's Island show from 9/29/1996 on Pearl Jam Radio - - Obviously they have the soundboard recordings of at least some or all of this tour. Would love to get all of the 1996 tour on soundboard! -- Especially my first show, Charlotte NC 1996!

I'd love to get the 96 Augusta, ME show! That was my 2nd PJ show and very memorable!0

I went to Seattle, and would love to see some 96 shows released. Augusta would be so great, any of the euro shows too.0

Does everyone think that because of the label they were on at the time, is why we are not seeing the pre-2000 bootlegs released? - - I mean, surely there is enough of a business reason $$$ for them to be released. What else would stop them?Charlotte 10/4/96 Raleigh 8/31/98 Charlotte 8/4/00 Raleigh 4/15/03 Asheville 10/6/04

They were with Sony/Epic/J up to and including the eponymous album, so that's doubtfully holding them back. Although I'm not aware of the details of their contract, so it does remain a minute possibility.RhinoJam said:Does everyone think that because of the label they were on at the time, is why we are not seeing the pre-2000 bootlegs released? - - I mean, surely there is enough of a business reason $$$ for them to be released. Toronto 96 was the first show I went to so that'd be extra special but I'd love to have any show from this tour as an official release!0

Based on the vault releases so far, they are only releasing Multi-Tracks, even if incomplete. (9/19/98 missing part of Push Me, Pull Me and YL, while Bellingham is missing Dead Man). It is possible they don't have multi tracks for many shows. They might have 2-track soundboards, but so far they have not gone that route. According to Brett, there are not a lot of Multi Tracks from the first few years: http://www.twofeetthick.com/2011/10/11/pearl-jam-vault-1-brett-eliason-takes-us-behind-the-scenes-at-the-moore-1992/RhinoJam said:Does everyone think that because of the label they were on at the time, is why we are not seeing the pre-2000 bootlegs released? - - I mean, surely there is enough of a business reason $$$ for them to be released. The 2000+ shows were recorded with computer software (Pro Tools I think) and made recording as multi tracks much easier. Except when the power goes out like E Rutherford 2006 and you lose the first few songs. Which, by the way, we were given the first 6-7 songs from the 2 track soundboard, so I guess they did do that once. Kinda.
I curious as to what they have. Unless they lugged tapes and a 24-bit multi track on the tour, I doubt we will get it. 1998 was probably recorded for the live album, so that should be covered fairly well. I remember rumors of Live at Constitution Hall as an edited single CD, but ended up with Live on Two Legs instead. Asia 1995 is possible due to the 1995 scrapped movie. Plus there are some 93/94 Bsides (Blood and Yellow Ledbetter) so they give some hope.
Dave Matthews, releases Multi Tracks as part of his Live Trax series, while his digital only series, DMBLive, is mostly 2 track soundboard sources. Here is Duke University 1995. Look at the linear notes: http://davematthewsband.shop.musictoday.com/Product.aspx?cp=1_5575_15755&pc=DMDD105
Maybe someday PJ will do this. I'm happy to get anything of quality. Bring on 7/13/98!

One of those European 96 shows could make a great vault vinyl
Actually every show would make a great vault
