I think Jimmy did that for many bands. Pearl Jam was on Pink Floyd week.

I appreciated the different covers but I couldn't stomach the Fleet Foxes cover of Corduroy. The anger and emotion that songs needs to be performed with fell completely flat.

They made it their own - which is essential for a cover IMO.

Yea I appreciated their effort but didn't really enjoy it. And I love me some fleet foxes.
The Cornell "Footsteps" was the lasting piece of music that came from that week for me.. Very cool interpretation of the song in my opinion.. Especially the fact that he wrote and sang on the same piece of music for "Times of Trouble" almost simultaneously in 1990.
P.S. His Harmonica playing reminded me of why Ed should not play the harmonica on Fiotsteps! Lol
Chris was great on the Harmonica!
I always preferred the earlier versions before Ed started playing Harmonica.. Just my opinion..

Loved PJ week on Fallon! Avett with CC was really cool. I actually liked the Fleet Foxes cover of Corduroy. I always enjoy a heartfelt cover of one of my favorite bands. Even if its not the best or someone I don't care for. Deirks Bently for example...I couldn't care less about him but enjoyed watching him jam Alive w/ Mike. Its just cool to see other artists get excited about PJ.
