I am a little worried about that... or more about his supporters.
It's possible Trump will just be glad it's over and he'll go to bed and sleep for a week, lol. But he's got a lot of people riled up, so what are they going to do??? And maybe Trump will refuse to concede when he loses... god only knows what would happen then.
God only knows what happened to Clinton's missing emails, well God and the NSA.

But why do you care how his supporters react? Are you worried about friends you have in the US or something? I mean how can his supporters affect you? Just pray for peace. That will help.
Why is it so hard to imagine that a person doesn't want to see anyone get hurt over a democratic election just because that person lives in Canada?
You seem to have a tenuous grasp on the concept of compassion for such a progressive person.

Yes, I have friends in the US, but besides that, I care about the whole world and my own country, on top of just generally giving a shit about America. Do you think that the USA exists in a bubble or something? What happens in the USA affects the whole world politically, economically, socially, etc. It is so fucking weird to me that some of you seem unaware of this fact. Especially in terms of Canadians.
Does this mean you couldn't care less about what happens in the world unless it affects you directly as an individual??

I'm ok with it if he doesn't concede. History will forever record what a poor loser he is. That's his choice. The country will move on, as always.

But what if his refusal to concede leads to riots or violence or something, as some have been threatening? Could happen. I would see his refusal as a way to tell his supporters not to accept the results... and millions of angry people not accepting the results could get ugly.

I'm not worried about violence. There will be a few nuts who overreact but I don't think it will be many. What will be important is for our leaders to make clear moves that they are addressing the issues that affect our daily lives, not the 1% or even the top half of the population. There's a reason people are angry and upset and it'll be on Madame President to show that those issues will be addressed. The thing is, it's not going to happen overnight. It's taken decades for this mess to be made and it's going to take at least a decade to reverse the situation. She'll need to make the right moves. imho, of course. :)

    He never concedes gracefully.
He's the kind of wealthy narcissist that would rather pay his lawyers a million dollars to fight off a $100,000 debt to a contractor.

This whole not conceding outrage was so ridiculous and overblown. Purely media driven. Like they expect Trump to go get a tank and take the presidency by force. There was 0% chance of a non-peaceful transition of power. It is ridiculous to think that you are supposed announce ahead of time you won't challenge a vote when you don't know if there could be fraud or something like Florida 2000.

Nah, nobody will care about that stuff in this election in the future. It will be a footnote in history, that is all. It's really silly to act like this election is the worst in the history of the USA with only the worst ever candidates. There were the Dixiecrats, Aaron Burr, George Wallace and a whole procession of other insanely racist candidates throughout US history, and so on. Oh, and Sarah Palin for VP, lmao. I mean, my god, has everyone forgotten how insane shit got when the Tea Party actually seemed to have influence?? That was pretty scary. Also, there has been a ton of violence that occurred because of various US elections in history. Violence during elections/political rallies actually used to be common place. At least now it's treated like a big deal. The difference this time was 1) Trump's completely unique and fucked up personality, and Trump who probably lies more than any other candidate in history (what is it, a 72% lie rate?), 2) the way the media handled the whole thing, and 3) how much a huge portion of the population seems to have gone nuts over it. But that is all just flipping people out now because everyone is so emotional. As far as history is concerned most of this will just seem silly. And Hillary Clinton will be noted as the first female president in US history, and people 100 years from now will wonder at how it took so long for that to happen, just like we do when we think about when it became legal for women to vote.

basically 4 more years of a less likeable Obama which I'm fine with.

if Trump is elected we look like an utter joke to the entire world, our economy tanks, and we have Donald Trump assign a supreme court justice which is terrifying.

For sure. That's how I think of Clinton too. A less likeable and far less cool Obama, lol. That is why the loathing for her while Obama's approval ratings are super high is so ridiculous.
Who knows, maybe she'll become more likeable after winning. She has displayed some level of droll humour at times....

Well the Republicans are swearing that they will do everything they can to prevent that seat from being filled until a Republican president does it. Obviously many legislators don't give a flying fuck about justice or the constitution.

It's too early to call but I'm guessing HRC has it. If so, those of us who are concerned about global warming and other environmental issues as will as international strife will have to work as hard or harder than ever. Hillary is will be another war president and her environmental stance is weak. And her talk about being for the middle class- well, we'll see but I really find it hard to imagine she cares much if at all about the average American.

But then, who knows, maybe one day out of the blue she'll have a satori use her new found enlightenment for the good of all.
