He is badass! If any of you guys even remotely like country start with his album Metamodern Sounds In Country Music. If you can't stand country music then start with his latest album, A Sailor's Guide To Earth, and specifically songs Breakers Roar, Sea Stories, In Bloom and Brace For Impact (Live A Little). I saw him this year in Norfolk Va and he is awesome live.

    Not to derail the thread too much, but i always really enjoyed this band in the 90's. Literally Out of the blue last night i thought of them and realized i don't own any of their music (lost cd's etc). So i purchased Cure for Pain and listened to it on the way to work today.
    Too bad he passed away. Fantastic music. If they came around today every festival in the US would be begging to book them as a mid or late afternoon band.
