It's a great mystery of life how singers lose their native accents when they sing. I'm sure a linguist could explain this but I've never heard an explanation.
    one foot in the door
the other foot in the gutter
    sweet smell that they adore
    I think I'd rather smother

  • I hate hearing accents in music, especially Belfast ones. It depends on the style of music aswell, like indie music these days features heavy English accents.

I couldnt sing any other way though, I dont try to mould my voice I just sing the way I sing.

Is there no other cats in bands here??

Does anyone know any good forums to promote band stuff on?

If yer playing any gigs, look out for forums for them. I know Fibbers and Bruxies in Dublin have their own Myspace groups, keep an eye out for others and promote in them.
