Writing about Pearl Jam

Hi, all! I haven't posted here in years, unfortunately. Life has been hectic, first with some family health issues, then work stuff, and then a few years ago my wife and I had twins! So that has kept us extremely busy. Sadly I've been a bit out of touch when it comes to Pearl Jam news.

I did start blogging over a year ago and while my blog isn't a Pearl Jam blog--it focuses on pop culture in general, my life, and basically the intersection of the two--recently I've written two short posts about the band. The first was about No Code turning 20 last month and the second was about the the name of my blog, which comes from a Pearl Jam improv - "Words Seem Out of Place." I thought you all might like to read the posts and I would love to discuss any of your opinions on them here! First of all, can you believe No Code is 20?!? Second, do you love the "Words..." as much as I do? Also, that Melbourne 95 show is epic, huh?

Here are the links. I'm not up on posting guidelines so if links to personal blogs aren't allowed, I apologize to y'all and the mods. Thanks!

My personal story is very similar to yours. Unlike you, I don't have the motivation or courage to blog. I had the desire to do so back in the mid-00's.

Will read your entries later when I have time. Cheers.

  • Thanks, Sarah. I used the blog as a launching point for writing for other websites, which I've been doing for the last year, which is really been fun. But mostly the blog is just a good place to write about things that mean a lot to me.

And seriously, how can No Code be twenty years old? Time flies...
