Democracy Now - Anyone listen?

I'm just wondering if anyone in this diverse crowd listens to or watches Democracy Now. I've found it to be a pretty fair, non-sensationalist way to consume the news. If anyone is curious - you can watch or listen on democracynow.org, or subscribe to their podcast. The last two weeks' worth of episodes have very closely resembled the discussions we've been having here relating to international affairs, as well as the US election.

I've listened and watched DN since 2001. Every time Amy Goodman would come to DC or MD I would see her on her many book tours. She's as down to earth as one can be.

I would love to see her speak and/or meet her long enough give her a thumbs up and say, "Thank you!"

On one of her book signings where I hunted her down and found the place in DC. She signed her current book in 2004-5 I mentioned to her how I loved how DN plays my friend Michael Franti's songs over the air. She said you know Micheal I said yes, whenever he's on the east coast or in Europe I just go on tour with the band city to city like you do on your book tour....she laughed and said that's so awesome. Oh and I told her Michael loves your show as you've had him on there several times. I got a kick out of having her smile....she seems so serious when she does her reports especially back in those heavy war years, so much was going on with constant war protests in the city.

    Peace
