Overcoming Writer's Block

Anyone have any tips for beating the block? I'm going on six months now where I can't write new music or write lyrics to old instrumentals.

    Do you exercise? I've found getting in shape has really re-charged my brain and re-charged not only my interest in writing songs, but the creativity as well.

    Eh. Minimal exercise. I have a ton that I should be able to write about, but getting pen to pad is proving quite difficult.

    Read some books...that has helped me in the past.
    Or just write free form. Take one of those things that you should be able to write about and go off or do some word association.
