My first copy of TEN. I was an intern at Epic Records in 91 and my first job was to send the 3 song cassette to the Mother Love Bone fan club

I enjoyed this a lot. I like getting perspective from older folks who were once fans but moved on.

I wish MTV was still MTV so they could probably do something. Like air the unpugged or show something to commemorate the 25th year. I'm sure they'll do something for Nevermind

This is a great bump.  I always enjoyed the "industry" wonk take on No Code and the band at the time of it's birth.  Seeing it rehashed some in a historical rear view is very interesting.

It is hard for me to quite reconcile, but clearly the band was frayed and on the brink, but yet at the time I thought it was perfect, and also that it showed they were settling in, when to some extent at least in the moment nothing could have been further from the truth.

1995 and 1996 to me has some of the bands more interesting shows and a very earth bound and loose groove to the live performances.  Jack Irons allowed the band to have such a wider space from a rhythm perspective.   I think of course some of that was due to the late summer Euro gigs they played with Neil in support of Mirror Ball.  I think there are some very distinct things that can be heard from the early 1995 Australia and Pacific rim shows, and the June and July dates when compared to the four show run in September and the five November shows.

As a fan, when they began the deluxe editions, I was excited to see what would come of No Code.  I figured that there would be some logical pairing with Yield after the Vs/Vitalogy pairing.  But alas, it never came to be.

His eminence has yet to show.
