For people selling/trading pennants, how are you shipping?

Shipping flat? Folding in half? Rolling up? If ship flat, how much was it?

I bought my Wrigley 13 a few years ago on eBay and it was shipped rolled in a poster tube. Seemed to work well and no issues with condition.

Thanks! I'm thinking this may be the way to go.

Tube probably seems easiest, or rolling around a tall cup and throwing in a box.

The ones this year were much thicker/better quality than 2013. 2013 all seemed to have a bunch of creases and vertical lines across them and if the tip got bent, forget about it. BUT that made them easier to roll. I think best way for these new ones would be get a squarish box, lay it in the bottom and kind of just fold it across the middle so it's not rolled tight. The 2016s could still crease or get all wrinkled but they seem a lot sturdier and just thicker cloth like twice as thick.

I just did a trade, Wrigley for Fenway pennant, and we talked it through and thought lightly rolled into a big enough box would be the way to go. This year's ARE definitely much, much, much better quality than 2013.

BUT ... FWIW, when I bought mine at the merch stand, the lady bagging my stuff, without me asking, said you can iron the pennants – ON THE BACK – to flatten them back out. She obviously had to fold it to get it in my bag of stuff.

I have NOT tested this, though. So proceed with caution. Seems to make sense to me, though.

Interesting. I always thought I might try to iron my 2013 pennant but was too afraid to try. It looks pretty beat up with the lines in it. 2016s are in good shape, the tip is a bit jagged so ironing might be good. First person to try this let us know if it works please :)

You can Iron them so fret not!

Thanks everyone! Very helpful :) And yes, I did also hear about the ironing creases out bit, just want to make sure I'm not messing up the shipping in a trade and pissing the recipient off as a result!

Su may...i received fenway from states to aus not hard folded but bent in a box with other things. Straightened nicely. Would have been in box for 10 odd days

Thanks! Sounds like shipping these shouldn't be a problem. I feel better already :)

I did, thank you! Just updated my post.
  • Just traded for a Fenway and rolled mine in a 3"tube and it worked fine, waiting for the other person to receive it and see if it stayed in perfect shape.
