Please go back to using those Ayotte drums, they sounded MUCH better. Whatever snare you used in the 2000 tour was by far the nicest snare sound i have ever heard. your Yamahas can't touch them!!!

(Oh and I wasn't sure where to put this in, i figured this forum because it's about their live music.)

Totally agree, that was the most unbelievable gear change theyve ever made...the ayotte snare sound was unique, while yamaha´s set is good, but sounds as any drumset you can buy in your local music store...

i agree 100% about going back to the ayotte's. i loved how they sounded. I understand he switched to yamaha because they were easier to keep in tune while on the road.....

I agree, his drum sound could be better (just like in 2000).

I completely agree; the Ayotte set has such a warm sound. I like the Yamahas, but not as good. If you stick with the Yamaha, at least bring back the second tom.

agreed, i hated his set at lollapalooza. boring black yamaha with one mounted tom, it looked cheap. he should ATLEAST stick with his yellow yamaha set. i love seeing matt do fast fills and using all of his toms, that new set is too boring for him. Oh and that snare from 2000 was a keplinger which is the same type he uses now, except the ayotte one sounded far better.
