I was wondering what would have happened if the situation was reversed ... the us border services has very little sense of humour.

It's been quite a while since I crossed into Canada but the last time I did so- Port Angels WA to Victoria BC- I was pretty sure that if I looked at the border patrol cross-eyed they were going to waterboard me. Yikes!

Victoria sure was beautiful though- Butchart Gardens, marvelous architecture and the best pot of tea I've ever had!

I've never been to Victoria ... I hear it's very nice, glad you enjoyed. I've been to the Paris of the Midwest, Detroit...lol, on many an occasion. The border patrol at either Windsor crossing can be hit a miss as far as friendliness. Never hassled to much,

    It was a mock invasion.

Special forces will go in early to plant weapon caches. Then several battalions of infantry will cross in inner tubes and board shorts.

Your vast supplies of maple syrup shall soon be ours.
