I miss the open space
the blank page
waiting for me to fill it
like a factory with a backlog of product
boxes stacked to the ceiling
waiting to be shipped out
my warehouse is loaded!
but, not pouring it out
not spending time on someone
other than my own pups
has allowed me to confirm
that days are not to be thrown away
days can be filled with productive actions
and daily actions add up
this upon that
that upon somethin’ else
into a big stack of accomplishments
even though my warehouse swells
awaiting a truck,
it’ll be easy to unload again
to regain some space
oh, I miss the open space
to speak

and the ears and eyes
that loved it

I feel settled in to my new life now and I'm starting to recover some of my energy for living and being hopeful. It's nice to feel like my heart is waking up again!
