FINALLY Seeing Uncle Neil

Neil Young is coming to Tucson for a warm up show before Desert Trip. Still can't believe he's playing here! I finally get to cross him off the list.
Crossing Bruce and Neil off my concert bucket list in the same year is something special.
Just had to share my excitement.

I had a chance to see him with crazy horse a few years ago in Pittsburgh, but never got tickets. I'm kicking myself now.

Oohhh, such a treat. :) I saw him for the first time just on the Monsanto tour. I was center rail (no line!), and it blew my mind completely. The crowd actually sucked in Vancouver - most of the crowd didn't even know he was touring for a new album I don't think, even though he was up there with Promise of the Real (I couldn't believe how many people I saw online saying that Promise of the Real was the opening band! Even AFTER the show a lot of people thought the opener was called Promise of the Real, when in fact it was City and Colour (preceded by a bizarre short performance by Reverend Billy). It was really annoying that people didn't even bother to know what band he was playing with actually, lol. I mean, people seem to think that Crazy Horse and Crosby, Stills and Nash were important, but I guess they forgot that Neil does that, I don't know. The Monsanto Years songs were awesome, but most of the crowd didn't seem to "get" it. Dead ass crowd. So that was a bit of a bummer, because I think a crowd is a pretty big part of any show. The vibe matters to what happens on stage. But still, my god, Neil is still so good at 71. And those extended jams were everything I hoped for and more. Have fun!

I've seen him 5 times. Twice with Crazy Horse, 3 times by himself. The highlight was at Massey Hall, row 5 and directly in front of him!!! Haven't seen him with Promise of the Real but I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Enjoy the show

Fantastic DS! Have a great time.

I'm over-due to see Neil again. First time was '67, second time '69, third time '96. Way over-due!

Have seen him 3 times since 2000.
And so you see, I have come to doubt
All that I once held as true
    I stand alone without beliefs
The only truth I know is you.
