Yeah I still keep it a secret from my folks. And I've only ever had one beer in front of my family. That was 4 years ago after my grandfather's funeral. I still don't even curse in front of my parents. (You've seen enough of my posts on here to know that's a pretty amazing feat!)HughFreakingDillon said:
I doubt I'd be progressive enough to do that. I didn't even have a beer in front of my parents until probably my mid-20's after I moved out. it just seemed....weird.....one day being a kid and the next day regailing in happy hour.hedonist said:I think some would be surprised at how many parents smoke with their (adult) children.
Nice to see the stigma slowly being removed, and the many benefits gaining recognition and acceptance (hopefully more quickly than not).Star Lake 00 / Pittsburgh 03 / State College 03 / Bristow 03 / Cleveland 06 / Camden II 06 / DC 08 / Pittsburgh 13 / Baltimore 13 / Charlottesville 13 / Cincinnati 14 / St. Paul 14 / Hampton 16 / Wrigley I 16 / Wrigley II 16 / Baltimore 20 / Camden 22 / Baltimore 24 / Raleigh I 25 / Raleigh II 25 / Pittsburgh I 250 -
Amen, gambo.rgambs said:Wake and bake motherfuckers! 8am and I'm about to bless myself with some sweet peacepipe offerings while I finish building Moana's canoe for my niece's birthday party today.
Gorgeous sunny morning here, and enjoying some Island Sweet Skunk.
Would love to see a photo of the finished product, if you're so inclined.

Get high enough to wish you were a kid again so you could play in this...
Ok, my phone isn't uploading because I am over on my 4G data, I will post it after midnight tonihgt when it rolls over.
Hedobot, have you seen any Jim Jeffries stand up? I think you might like him, he's about halfway between the Hicks and Carlin types and your more standard mainstream comedians.Monkey Driven, Call this Living?0 -

Actually, last night is when I can say I got TOO high. Some little jelly edible with a delay in how hard it hits. Almost like mental hallucinations (but it was less pleasurable than you'd think).
I have heard of Jim but never seen his work. Just looked him up...his last name is NugentI will check him out as I'm typically drawn to comedy that is Carlinesque...Hicksesque?

Speaking of great comedians (and weed), my husband and I shared part of a (50g!) fortune cookie last night. The fortune read:
"We are the facilitators of our own creative evolution." - Bill Hicks
Hell yeah, Bill. HELL YEAH.

The absolute best comedian of this decade! "The government has drones! You're bringing guns to a drone fight! Good luck with that!" His latest Netflix special, Freedumb, has an absolutely brilliant bit on Trump.HughFreakingDillon said:

Fairly baked, winding down, and thinking about some discussion during a years-ago college psych class (and I'm sure it's taken place in other realms).

Yes and yes.
I think I'm mostly a good person - by my own standards, of course - but damn...there are many aspects of myself I do see and try to change, rise above - let it go! Or, accept that there will always be scars and scabs and hurdles and they all make up who I am.
I need breakfast.0
