Wrigley alcohol

Can anyone who had field seats for Wrigley 13 or other shows at Wrigley tell me if there is alcohol available on the field or do you have to leave the field and buy drinks at concession stands in the concourses?

They had stands set up on the sides of the field with drinks. I remember them selling beer and bottled water.

Had GA for Phish this summer and the easiest beer stands and bathrooms were actually behind the stage under the bleachers. For other concerts I sat in lower reserved and did not notice beer sales on the field, but did notice plenty of folks streaming up/down my aisle going for beer etc.

Cool. Thanks for the info. I"m almost 40...not into getting falling down drunk at shows, but don't mind a few beers during the shows.

Believe me.. there won't be an issues giving them $10 (or more) for a beer...all over the stadium

Age isn't a good defense ;) .... annoying evenbro drunks come in all shapes, sizes, and ages.

Best part, Wrigley concerts don't have a liquor curfew until the last song ends. Weird how in Baseball it's after the 7th inning, maybe an MLB rule? I don't know if you remember 2013 but they were selling beer well past 1:15 am, apparently they ran out, looooong rain delay and all

We were covered during the rain delay in 2013 with a beer stand right behind our section. Everyone in our section was bombed! Good times.
  • Man, cue the Cameron Crowe script here, but who gives a fuck about alcohol? Why make that a priority? It's all about soaking in the music. Not being left with some slight to moderately fuzzy memory of an incredible night of music.

They ran out of everything in 2013 due to the delays. No food...no drinks

Nothing wrong with having a couple drinks to loosen up and have fun. No one is saying get shit faced and not remember the evening.

that being said, hard pass on Wrigley beer. I'm pretty sure its just Bud products and maybe some standard Goose Island beers (312, Honkers).

    Get Half Acre in there.

If you're able to handle it, drink away. Dictate your own fun and if partaking makes the concert more fun, guzzle them down my friend.

Exclusive contract with InBev so all they sell is that St. Louis piss water in the stadium. Old Style is owned by MillerCoors so no more Chicago/Milwuakee piss water. Should still be able to get some Goose as their distribution rights are owned by InBev.

Aren't InBev and miller coors discussing a merger now?

Actually, Old Style is in the building, but only in limited areas. The upper deck patio (above the red Wrigley sign) has it.

Goose Island's 312 / Pale Ale / Four Star Pils are available as well.

DOJ approved the buyout, with the agreement that abinbev sell Miller's U.S. business, and also that they have DOJ approval with future craft brewery buyouts. ABinbev is also supposed to be less nosey with regard to distributors selling competitors craft beers. As a beer snot myself, I can't stand ABInbev.

Lol this will be shows 27 and 28 for me since Soldier Field in 95. Believe me, I'm all about the music of my fav band live and have had great seats since 98 (thanks 10C!). At this point, a lot of shows are fuzzy memories. Not an evenbro but i will enjoy my 6-7 beers and some delicious edibles, do my own thing w my girl, not bother anybody and get lost in the music of the best band of the planet. Just wasn't on the field in 13 and didn't know if I'd have to walk through the seats to get a beer.
  • I've had more issues with guys playing air guitar and elbowing me all night than I have with drunks. Just don't puke on me and we're good.
    I'm through with screaming
  • Agreed I guess for some the concert will be missing something vital without it and everything revolves around its presence

Was at a Cubs game yesterday and they had Bud Light and 312 at most stands. $9-10 per beer.
