Will Wrigley ticket drops be the same as Fenway?

In the end, it wasn't so hard to score Fenway tickets, between the 10C ticket drop and then all of the subsequent Fenway ticket drops (which also led to board members offering up tix after upgrading their own). Will the same thing happen with the Wrigley shows? Specifically the Saturday show (I don't think it will be too hard to score a ticket on Monday night). I want to pull the trigger on a trip to Chicago, but if I end up having to scalp tickets, the trip becomes a bit too expensive. Plus I just don't want to scalp. Thoughts from anyone familiar with the Chicago and Wrigley ticketing scene? Thanks in advance!

if your hope is based on fenway that may be a mistake, they never played fenway and maybe didn't have the seating logistics down 100%. maybe better to compare the last min ticket availability to wrigley 2013. i wasnt there...

The problem is that Wrigley is smack dab in the Midwest and people are more inclined to travel there over going all the way to Fenway, so I think you would be rolling the dice with Wrigley with a ticket drop because of the logistics

Fenway ALWAYS drops tickets. Typically its around 2 weeks prior to the event, and they just pop up on tickets.com. Took them a bit longer for the PJ , most likely because the 10C wanted first shot at the seats for us. Not sure if the same happens generally for shows at Wrigley.

Might see some appear, but not in the same sections as Fenway.

Doubt it would be the same. Fenway was all reserved with a huge chunk of great seats held for VIPs and what not. Wrigley floor is all GA so not sure if the VIPs would have GA tix or not. If tix are dropped they likely won't be GA, but I could be wrong.

For the folks who scored on the Fenway drop....Tickets.com on the original public sale had a max of 4 tickets per person per show, so if you scored the max on the public sale, were you allowed to buy more on the 10C drop if you lost the 10C lottery but still scored on the original public sale? Hope that makes sense.

you are assuming 10c will have a ticket drop. Hope they do, but very possible they will not.

I dont think that they will, but if they do, I dont want buy them right away and show up the day of the show and have them tell me I already bought my max and the tix are cancelled.

It was really difficult to get a straight answer about tickets at Fenway because of all the involved 3rd parties. My friend was lucky on that 2nd chance 10c drop and we got B5 row two. Second section back but right in the middle and WAY better that the seats we had lined up that my wife won through the lotto with her crappy 10c number. That being said when we were inquiring about tickets at the box office it was a mess because The Redsox people didn't have a clue because it was run by Live Nation people (and anything Live Nation touches turns to shit). Basically 3 groups of people pointing at another group of people regarding if more tickets would drop. They did drop more on Saturday afternoon for Sunday's show, and I scored a pair of good lower level seats for friends on Sunday afternoon for the show that night just by continually refreshing the tickets.com page on my phone....just crazy and you can't predict it.

All that being said, who knows if Wrigley will be the same way or not. You have Wrigley involved, tickets.com, and I'm assuming Live Nation again. Also, the field is primarily GA which of course is long gone, so maybe less tickets to actually release for these shows.
