Sooo, after what happened with Camden today, how does everyone feel about their chances for getting MSG 10c tix now? It seems like everyone was praying they'd be able to get tix for MSG before. I don't remember how it was in '03, how bad was it?

  • you have to factor in how many nutjobs from all over the place will be looking to make NYC their shows b/c its 2 shows in same city. I'd say they are gone w/i 5 minutes.

I dunno I'm nervous still, but everyone knew that Camden would be gone within an hour at the very very most. And we all saw how that happened. But maybe this is a completely different league. I'm confident that as long as the server holds that everything will be ok for me, but that's the breaker. Argh...

Have my fingers and toes crossed. Trying for both shows and I will not be cooling my heels until the confirmation is in.
I'm nervous, have to work w/ patients in a Dr's office and break rules of not going on the computer for personal business!! My boss is cool, if he checks I will just say "better than calling in sick!". Which is really hard to do when you work in a doctors office!!

Oh, back on topic, how will it be? Bad, but not as bad a I originally thought. Chances of getting these are pretty good as long as your prepared.

No crashing and nightmares so far. 10c has really pulled out all the stops for us this time. Thank You!!

For someone who was out all day, can you fill me in on what happened today with Camden, and what the strategy should be for MSG and other shows? Thanks!

Things have gone in a smooth way so far. Camden was the first to sell out. But it still took a while. If you know what you want, just be available at the time of sale and you should be OK.
MSG shows are the golden tickets ( Boston too!). Don't wait till 5pm EST to try and get a ticket.

10c has been nice to East Coasters in the past. I remember them putting "out of stock" tickets up hours (like 5pm EST) back up. Not a lot, but some for a few peeps to score them. I have not seen that yet this time, but not to say it won't happen!

  • I think everyone will get tickets

I think the 10c realized that in 03 since there was over 8000 10c members at each show, they have reserved around the same amount

I would like to have a few drinks, but instead i have to study for an exam. However, I can't concentrate because my mind is on one thing and one thing only. Oh the dilemma. If I fail my exam but manage to get MSG tickets tomorrow I will consider my day a complete success.

I'll be there x 2 no matter what. Who could ever pass up two nights in the splendor of the Bowery Whitehouse? I imagine I'll be going nuts the first time my computer bogs down , but that's just me.

a few drinks would be nice, but it will be a crazy hour of the morning where i am!! it is going to be a long few days! not much sleep getting tickets tomorrow morning, late night tomorrow night seeing smashing pumpkins, followed by not much sleep, more tickets, and Queens of the Stone age that night!
hopefully it will be easy.... fingers and toes crossed!

I was under the impression 2003 was a one time only arrangement b/n pj management and ticketmaster. I'd be surprised if it happened again, unless you know something I don't.

I won't be confidant until I have my tix. Camden is also the largest venue - attendance wise - they are playing so if that 10% rule is in effect, it would have the most pairs.

Camden counting the lawn seats has a capacity of 25,000. Checking twofeetthick's concert chronology, when PJ played MSG in 2003 the attendance was 20,000 so right there that's 250 less pairs off the start plus the demand is much higher for MSG than Camden.

Just a thought: Could 10c haggling w TM over the amount of 10c tickets at the MSG shows be the reason the tour announcement got pushed back?

If this has been asked already in other threads sorry for reposting.

maybe i'm being optimistic, but i don't think it will be a problem to get tickets if you are patient, and try for them right when they go on sale. i think some people are trying to scare others out of trying to increase their chances! :)
