Parking at Fenway

Hi. Does anybody have a recommendation for an easy in/out parking place near Fenway? Will be heading back to Jersey after show and need to head to the mass pike. Thanks in advance.

Parking around Fenway is a mess leaving (narrow streets, tons of foot traffic after a game/show). You'd be better off parking in a suburban area slightly outside the Fenway neighborhood and walking or taking the train in/out.
  • I'm having the same debate (for the show and a game later in the week) - pay a premium for parking to avoid the mass of people cramming onto the train or just huddling with the masses and taking the public trans? I'm staying in Braintree, I've heard that during the week it's a mess with traffic so maybe I'm taking the train for both.

We park at the Boston common garage. It's 20-30 minutes to walk to Fenway but it's 18$ on nights and weekends and never full.

There's a couple garages on Purchase St that are probably a couple bucks cheaper and are right near the pike entrances but that's probably an additional 20-30 minute walk.
  • Garage at 100 Clarendon has direct access to the Pike and is about a 15 minute walk.

I parked in Clarendon on Friday. Its a 25+ minute walk from Fenway but they do have a $10 special if you park after 5:00.

Spothero.com. I purchased a spot at 49 lansdown. $40 and found a $10 off coupon online. Worth every penny. Right across from Fenway.

Getting from Kenmore to Braintree will likely be a 45 minute to one hour commute. The trains will empty out a few stops away from Kenmore. May be worth getting on at Fenway Station or St. Mary's Street as opposed to Kenmore even though they're both further away from the ballpark so you won't have to try as hard to shove yourself onto the train.

Great call. I always wonder that when doing public trans- jumping out ahead of the mass of people. Good to know. I'm currently on the red line, en route.

This is your best bet. Parking around Fenway is a straight up NIGHTMARE and will run you close to $50-$60 for a Red Sox game, nevermind a concert. As others have said, 15 minute walk or so and quick access to the pike.
  • Westland Ave garage $25. 10 minute walk. Pike westbound is a couple blocks away at Massachusetts ave and Newbury st.

  • How is it down there today? I know Newbury street is closed to cars today and was wondering if it was mess.

It's not bad down here right now. you can feel it's starting to pick up though and getting hot. I chose the Clarendon parking garage as suggested. It definitely was a little bit of a walk but it's a gorgeous day and it literally is right beside an exit for the pike. Thanks again.
  • bout to park at clarendon and walk over. thanks for the tips all!
