Acoustic Set at Fenway Tonight

Not to be "that guy", but just heard a great rumor at a bar that there may be an acoustic set at 630.

Please don't shoot the messenger if I'm wrong...

    apparently live nation announced an early 6:30 start, which would tend to substantiate that rumour.

    Why would they want to keep it a secret? Seems like they would want everyone who purchased tickets to be able to enjoy their music. I'm a little confused I guess.

    I would plan to arrive early regardless, due to security lines.

    Not that different than Eddie doing unannounced solo songs before opening bands during the mid 2000 tours. Just a fun thing to do.

    wierd.. you'd think the 10c would blast out a quick email if it was starting an hour before the time printed on the tickets.

    Isn't 6:30 printed on the tickets for the start time?

    Edit - yes. Gates at 5pm, show at 6:30 is printed on ticket.

    Yes. The live nation announcement means nothing, they always send out reminders about the posted show time for huge shows. PJ said 7:30

    If it's 6:30 on the tickets, I'd try and be there for 6:30.... Most of the time bands don't come on at the ticket posted time, but there's no opener.. and you never know...

    They did start off the pemberton show with a set down acoustic(ish) type set.

    Pretty sure all of the spring shows had 7:30 on the ticket and they started about 8:30.

    Ride started with a seated set because of the elevation. Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE it if all 4 of these stadium shows started with a long acoustic set.

    Totally jealous of Boston right now! 15 days to Wrigley!

    I'm jealous too. Two weeks 'til Wrigley :)

    Someone posted a picture of the Boston setup, and I noticed there's no seats on the very far left/right of the stage (where you'd be over so far on the side that you wouldn't be able to see the stage). The Wrigley pit looks huge, but if they set it up the same except the front part is GA... that'd be pretty sweet.

    If that's the actual one, hell of a show. I think tonight's show will be made into a DVD. That's why they're doing the HOB showing tomorrow night.

    I looked at the setlist. Won't spoil it but I will say that it's pretty awesome.
