My Wife is a Trooper

This past Wednesday my wife and I were out surfing and she fractured her finger very badly. The bone fractured up through the bottom of her nail. Luckily they were able to do the surgery the same night and put 2 wires in. She still insists on coming to Fenway this weekend. I swear I would of stayed home with her and missed the whole weekend but she's tough. All things considered, it could of been worse but you never wanna see someone you love in pain. Heading to Boston in about 3 hours. Cannot wait

I know a woman who's doing the same but with a different (worse?) injury.

Kudos to her, and to your wife!

    Enjoy the show(s).

Pain is simply weakness leaving the body. And pain is just a reminder telling us that we are "alive". Awesome of her to insist on going to the shows. Enjoy.

This reminds me of Tool's Parabola.

"All this pain is an illusion"

I'm in awe of those who can overcome it.

Thanks everyone for all the well wishes. If anyone is sitting near us feel free to come say hello. And relatively speaking, it def could be worse.

Thanks Matt!! Once the music starts that'll be a way better healer of pain than alcohol.

No, but damn. I don't think I've read about it here, but my heart goes out to that woman.
