Staying at the Rock N' Roll Days Inn a Mile from Wrigley. Rumor has it that is where the band is staying too. I was lucky to score $179/night. Now they are going for $350-$400/night. Can't Wait. If you need somewhere to store your merch for the concert, don't hesitate to reach out.
The Days Inn Chicago has been known by many names, like the "Rock and Roll Days Inn" and the "Chicago Boutique Hotel - Days Inn on Diversey," but its history is entirely one of a kind. Many performers have stayed at our Chicago hotel throughout the years, and few hotels can boast a guest list that includes Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Wilco, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Black Keys, to name but a few. Back in the day, bands staying at the hotel meant discolored bathtubs from hair dye, Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love…, Sheryl Crow rollerblading through the hotel lobby (not permitted), a front desk clerk doing laundry for the Goo Goo Dolls, Alanis Morissette bringing sushi to a front desk clerk, musicians sitting in the lobby playing the guitar. Today, bands still frequently visit the Days Inn hotel; not nearly as much as in the Rock and Roll days. But the stories live on. If you have any good Days Inn band stories, please contact us. We're dedicated to keeping our unique heritage alive and well, and we look forward to sharing it with you here in Chicago.
Last Wrigley show I stayed at the Four Seasons downtown (got a great deal on hotwire) and the band was staying there. Saw Eddie and Jeff (on separate occasions) in the lobby, was too scared to approach either of them.
Maybe my wife and I will see you there. We're hoping it's not too bad.
We're getting excited for the shows! We only have fan club seats for Monday, but we're happy to just be in the house on Saturday. The next two days are going to drag. Wish we were in Chicago already.
