Be it you were on your way into the show or in the restroom and missed most of it?

For me it was Dead Man, pre-set acoustic an hour before showtime while I was tailgating in the parking lot in Holmdel '03.

    For me it was Ed's pre-set of Don't Be Shy and You've Got to Hide Your Love Away at Boston 1 2004. Too much commuting traffic.

    Dead Man was great! I'm on the video of it for a brief second.

    For me, it isn't so much what i've missed at a show--I haven't missed anything. I don't leave my seat/area once the show starts. (We did nearly miss the start of the Reading 2004 show due to traffic)

    The one song that has eluded me to no end is Long Road--it's not the toughest song to have heard played if you see the band with any regularity, it's just been elusive for me to hear live.

    Strangest Tribe getting scratched at MKE 2014. Hard to complain about that set list, because it was pure joy from start to finish. I just doubt that I'll have another chance to hear that one.

    Missed "out of my mind" at Philly 2009 because I arrived at the start of the first encore.

    Other Side has been scratched a few times. Once for a fucking fake proposal (replaced by Just Breath) and then weather at Wrigley.

    Throw Your Arms Around Me. Ed playing solo before the opener at Mansfield in 1998. Ben Harper was the opener, and we had no interest in seeing him (great musician, boring live performer). Had I known Ed would play before he came on, I'd have at least been there for that. Could have wandered around the venue during Ben Harper's set.

    Love Boat Captain. Had a trip to Tampa booked in April but plans changed and we couldn't make it. Turned out it got played for only one of a few times this year.

    They don't list it because it was part of the preset and not the actual show. A strange distinction in this case because the performance is exactly the same as if it came during an encore.

    None really. Like last night I tend to stop consuming fluids so I don't need a washroom break. I always go the distance :)

    The only thing I really ever missed was in '98. Seattle II was a last second decision and we only got to the Venue 5 minutes before they took the stage. It meant I missed Ed coming out earlier and solo'ing Throw Your Arms Around Me. I've seen him play it a few times since so it hasn't been a biggie.
