TOTD Public Sale for Seattle

Lost out on the drawing. I live very close to the Paramount Theatre and don't know whether to go to the box office on Friday, try the phone number, or go online through ticketmaster to try to get tickets.
Any advice or experiences trying to buy tickets through the box office in person? The 'Tour' page only mentions Ticketmaster - does this mean the box office wouldn't have tickets?
Any and all advice welcome....

I have to imagine it sells out in less than 5 seconds. I think capacity is 2800? I would be surprised if there's more than 2000 tickets left for public sale. That's 1000 pairs tops (probably less). If you're in a box office lineup and you're not the first person in it, I would imagine it's sold out before you get to the cashier.

I bought tix during the presale and you could see the map... I think, conservatively speaking, 3/5-2/3 of the venue is sold already between the presale and whatever allotment 10C got.

  • Thanks, I figure it's a long shot through any method at this point. Just hoping for one ticket, and wasn't sure if the box office might have a certain amount set aside. But if they are pulling from the same pool as the online sales, it wouldn't do any good to be waiting in line at the box office.
  • I venture to guess there will be quite a few less than 2000 left. I would head to the box office as early as you are willing to go. I think the first couple people in line will probably get tix and everyone else in line will get shut out. You can try with the ticketmaster app on your phone while standing in line as well. I think tickets are going to be extremely hard to come by online. Have you seen prices on the secondary market??? I'm sure every ticket scalper in the country will be on these events and to make matters worse, the tickets are going on sale at noon instead of the normal 10am time slot. Nothing ever goes on sale at noon, so scalpers will not have other events going on sale at the same time to worry about or concentrate on...except the LA and SF TOTD shows of course! Good luck everyone.

I just called the Paramount Theater. They will be selling tickets at the box office, but the lady advised to purchase them online as it would faster and she stated that they will be pulling tickets from the same pool as online customers. The box offices opens at 10am on Friday.

A word of advice based on my recent experience - I've had success this year using the Ticketmaster mobile app on my phone rather than the website. My understanding (which may be wrong, I don't have any special info) is that they allocate a certain number of tickets for app sales, but people really haven't picked up on it yet and are still largely using the website, so your chances are greater.

I've used the app twice - for Radiohead (tonight - shitty seats) and Bruce (great seats), and I'm two for two. Basically the same experience as the site in terms of wait times so you have to be patient, but I do believe that there's an edge to be gained by using the app.

I just called to verify. The Paramount Theater box offices opens at 10am Seattle time. The sale starts at 12pm. So although the office is open, the tickets aren't available until 12pm.

However if there is a second show added there is a possibility that the box office might know before the tickets go on sale online.

Be in line with a phone and the TM app in hand. Multitask!

No doubt. Really wish there were multiple shows in Seattle...

Remember when Ticketmaster mistakenly put up a 2nd Seattle '13 show a few day's before the public sale? Day of the public sale we all waited for that 2nd show to drop to buy. Nothing. We got bupkis. :(

No idea why they didn't do this show at Key Arena...at least the lower bowl. 2800 is tiny for a hometown, tour closing show.

Because Key Arena is the worst venue for sound in the world? I'm pretty sure it's the reason PJ hates playing Seattle so much.

So why only one show in Seattle? They could have played 4 shows and it would sell out.At least 2 shows on Seattle or one in Vancouver. This is a cluster fuck that could have been avoided.
Not overly impressed with how this is being managed.Scalpers will clean up on this tour.

I bet they add a second show, or some other hometown secret gig. Maybe at RCKNDY. :)
  • ZodZod Posts: 10,535
Maybe they just wanted to play a few shows, but didn't feel like doing more than that. Chose a few venues they liked and went with it. Maybe they didn't feel like doing a full tour with more dates and different venues. It makes it harder for fans when the tour consists of a few arena and a few theatre shows, but maybe that's all they wanted to do.

This is a Scalpers wet dream :(
Kinda happy I choose no for tickets gotta give those flippers a chance.
This is another brilliant cash grab especially since there is only 45 minutes of music.
It's not enough to go out of my way.
I'd see PJ in a heartbeat over this.

Its going to sell out in seconds. Realistically I think there are probably less than 1000 tickets available. I'm basing this on the assumption that 1/3 went to Soundgarden presale and 1/3 to the Ten Club.

Myself & many of my friends who were on Ticketmaster that scored tickets to the Seattle show last Tuesday using the Chris Cornell presale password, pretty much the majority of seats from top to bottom were up for the taking. 2 tickets per fan limit. Though a few scored singles in row 8 and 10. The only white section I saw gone was the first few rows up front. The rest of the seating chart were all blue.
