Thumbing My Way @ Wrigley 2 for my mom!

I will be at both Wrigley shows but my brothers will be joining my wife and I at the second show. The Wrigley field shows will be my first Pearl Jam shows since I lost my mother in April of last year at the age of 53. She always encouraged me to get out and live life because we never know how long we have left. She is a big reason that I have been to 8 different states and seen Pearl Jam 10 times since 2010.
Thumbing My Way has always been one of my favorite songs but since my mom passed away it has become even more special. It would be great if the band broke this out at the second Wrigley show since I will be sharing the moment with my brothers. I have enjoyed seeing this song on the setlists over the past few tours since it wasn't played for quite a while. I never make these type of requests and if the song doesn't get played, I'm still going to have a great time!

    Good luck, hope you get it. I've wanted to hear this one for a long time as well and will be there. Looks like we have been to a lot of the same shows :grin:

    I lost my mom 3 years ago so I know how it feels, the Wrigley show that year was also the first show I attended since it happened. I hope you get to hear it.

    Sorry to hear about your mom. My family used to take a trip to Wrigley every summer so seeing my favorite band in my favorite ballpark can't be beat!

    I have wanted to hear this song live ever since I heard it on Riot Act. It is and has always been a very special song to me since when RA came out I was not in a good emotional place. A beautiful song, and I really do hope you (and I) and all those who love this song get to hear it at Wrigley. It would be magical.

    Well I'm a Sox fan, so it's my least favorite ballpark, but I'll go anywhere to see this band!
