I wasn't totally kidding. I used to have a pink tie in the 80's when they were the in thing. Bold! But imagine that today (for me any way)! Good grief!

I still wear a tie now and then not because I have to any more but because I can.

But of course all of this is irrelevant to the subject of the thread.

What is the subject of the thread again? I've gotten lost in ties and Trump.

The thread is a repeat of why we should vote for Jill Stein. You can read variations of the same in the Jill Stein thread and in the Hillary thread and in the Bernie thread.

Well, no actually it's not but if that's how you want to view it, fine by me.

  • Well the more and more I see this thread title the more and more I want to expound.
I believe that the question of the existence of god or gods, supernatural beings is a scientific question. Whereas other scientists will say it has nothing to do with science and that science and religion occupy two quite separate magisteria and don't overlap.
I think they do overlap and attempt to answer the same kinds of questions at least somewhat.
The difference is that religion gets the answers wrong.

though both science and religion deal in truths, religion's is based on faith... there is no proof required. the only requirement is that one believes. when it comes to faith, one's truth isn't necessarily the same as someone else's... and there's no logic required. you cant show me why you(generally speaking) believe. sure you can tell me you do and you can share your thoughts and feelings on the subject but in the end no proof needs to be shown. there's no hypothesis that can be proven or disproven. does God exist? imo God(in all his/her forms) exists so long as mankind believes he/she does... for without mankind there is no religion. for me the bigger and far more interesting question is WHY does God exist?

Fear of death and the nothing that is after.

On that note when I die and I "meet god" I would ask him which one are you?
Are you Zeus, Thor, Bayle, Morpheus, Yahweh etc and why have you taken such extraordinary measures to conceal yourself?
