Totally not complaining, just want your opinion on the quality of the mixing on the 08 boots as compared to the 03 boots. I remember being blown away by the quality of Irvine 2 and State College.

Just received my boots today and listened to Hartford and there were times when I had to turn it down because of the sound quality. I am also drivrng a different car with a different sound system, but I don't know if that accounts for the difference.

I notice they seem to be more "bassy"(if that's even a word) than most of the 2000 and '03 series. Those had more tremble in their sound.

I actually think the '08 quality is better the previous two series i mentioned.

Yes, they're mastered way too loud and distorted, for the average consumer who doesn't know how to use a volume control. The level of bass seems okay to me, but the loud mastering exaggerates it. Previous bootlegs were not this loud. North America 2000 boots are the gold standards to date.

sound is the worst of all the bootlegs released to date IMo, for me 2006 were the best! im not complaining though.

I haven't heard any of the 2008 boots yet, but I'd have to agree with you on the 2000 ones. JBII and Boise, in particular, sound amazing. Actually, another thing I really liked about the 2000 tour was the band put more atmospheric flourishes into the songs.
