    My fellow Jamericans,

    These are troubling times in the fandom, and I am officially announcing my candidacy to run on the Nowaycracy platform. There's too much war and not enough surround sound. Too few dog parks and too much discussion over silly things such as how many guns you can own and what color the national spotlight should be. There's ins and outs of things far and wide but nothing saving the common man from indecency. I cannot watch the news for more than 2 minutes these days. Life is too short and the name of that Fiona Apple album is too long. I care about life, liberty, and the pursuit of hot sauce. I promise to fight for you with everything I have. I will work on Wednesdays if I have to. You need a candidate who understands that not everyone is the same and that's why we're not different. I will walk a mile in your shoes - preferably an older pair that has since been fumigated and aired to dry.

    You see my friends - I am just like you. I like to rock out. I like summer breezes (they make me feel fine). I disagree with the tyranny of oppression. I find tinsel distracting.

    So I ask of you, my fellow soldiers of love - follow me into battle. That battle? For god's sake just get Stone Gossard to agree to play No Way in Fenway. He wrote the damn thing and it's a KILLER song! It is hard, trippy, psychedelic and intense. And I've missed it by 1 show on more than 1 occasion. I need your vote. I need your support. I WILL BRING HOMEMADE GUACAMOLE TO THE TAILGATING IF I HAVE TO! But please, take public transportation to the shows. Boston traffic, and parking, sucks.

    A real hidden gem on a great album. Stone's songs should be played more often in general.

    I think that's the problem. Stone does not like No Way or Brother from what I've heard.

    I remember it happening live. Stone wanted to move to the next song and EV wouldn't let him. Stone seemed genuinely pissed. I need to listen to the audience bootleg again to refresh my memory of what was exactly said.

    Took a bike ride today listening to Pearl Jam on my Shuffle and let my thoughts wonder. The lyrics "All the static in my attic-a shoots down my sciatic nerve" popped in my head. What song comes on next? No Fucking Way. Its a sign that they are playing this at Fenway and I don't even believe in signs like this!
