What a great night. I love that EV mentioned the "bad" review. Righteous and right.... That was almost as good as the lyrics for YL.

    hilarious!

i love when he mystifies himself. Only topped by him missing the harmonica and slamming his mouth into the microphone "that's only happened once before"

  • Best F'in set ever. It was awesome.

First guys explanation about yellow ledbetter made me question if i was even at the concert tonight, but the second guy was pretty on point.

    Good times.

How about Ed talking about his first bad review?

"There's a difference between righteous and right, right?"

All I know is that he said it was his first bad review and that it made him excited.

Guess what, it worked. He killed.

I love before Guaranteed he said how this song means a lot to him and he had to concentrate. Then he just laid it out, sick.

    That was amazing.

Just got home and I know I use the word amazing alot but last night was amazing.

It was a total spur of the moment trip for me as I didn't buy a ticket until around 4 today and wound up getting 2nd row.

Going was one of the best decisions I've made in a long, long time.

I still need time for the show to sink in, but just wow!

things like that were what made this concert special... there were so many small things that happened. Explaining YL and the fact that he actually tried to do a q/a, doing the q/a because he said he needed a smoke break, his bad ass euk, missing the harmonica and hitting the mic instead, having to restart 2 songs and making fun of himself about it, turning japanese, laying out every single song that i was and wasn't expecting, and i'm probably missing more

  • im sorry, but this is completely incorrect. he referenced how they all used to dress..looking like punks/bad kids...and this kid loses his brother in the war and finds out whe he sees the yellow letter...so he goes for a walk to cope and sees a couple on their porch with a flag waving overhead...he waves and points at the flag, but they misinterpret him bc they judge him by his clothes..."they dont know inside"....and they dont wave

edit: sorry for poor typing...one hand while rushing to beat loss of signal in train tunnel, lol

I can't even work right now...recounting that unbelievable experience last night...such an amazing performance for all the reasons everyone here has listed

It seemed like Eddie was truely touched by the crowd's welcome/ovation when he first took the stage...that just got it all started and I think he went to places last night that he didn't expect to go

And yes, he deserved every bit of that wlecome...

Anyone with videos from Ed's Newark show, Youtube is being blocked by someone claiming a copyright on all videos from last night. There is 5 or 6 videos from last night that has been taken done due to "a copyright claim from a third party". So, don't waste your time posting on youtube, do it some where else then post links here.:) Thanks.
