I hope I am dead wrong...and you can all say you told me so, but I do not see the band playing in any capacity the night between two massive stadium shows, this isn't 1995....or 2005 for that matter. These shows were scheduled with a day in-between for a reason, and that reason is rest for a bunch of 50+ year old guys. I won tickets, and I will be there hoping and praying like the rest of you, but if you don't expect so much then you won't be let down when it doesn't happen. I'm not even patricianly excited about re-watching a show I just saw live less than 24 hours ago on a screen, but if I'm going to be hanging out in Boston between the shows anyway I need to eat and drink, so might as well be there with all you crazies!

And I do have a question for the video guy (assuming he's the same guy responsible for the audio recording that ends up on the boots), and that's why the hell is the audience noise so muted on the latest boots, drives me nuts. I'm sure that's more of a mixing thing, but still the boots these days are crap compared to 2000-2003. Wish they would take more than a week to pump them out and actually properly mix/master them.

I don't think not playing Saturday had anything to do with rest. I heard the reason they are not playing Saturday is because the city won't let them due to concerns of rowdiness on a Saturday. The thought was a Friday and Sunday would be a lot tamer crowd. Anyone who has been to Fenway for a Saturday evening game can attest to this probably being true.

It has been well documented that in past years the city has turned down any proposal for PJ to play at Fenway due to these rowdiness concerns, so the concession to not play on Saturday does seems reasonable to me.

That being said I am going to believe this is going to be as advertised until proven otherwise. I will be there so I hope I'm proven wrong.

They won't play three nights in a row. Maybe if this was two arena shows, but I can't possible see them playing a show in between two major Fenway Park shows. They'll be dead tired an hour into the third night.

That very reason I won't get my hopes up. But yeah, I really hope I'm wrong. Maybe they'll have a meet and greet or something with the band.

Yup, I'm gonna guess on that night off they're gonna be about as far away from the HOB as one can get and still get back to Fenway the next day for soundcheck. But I'm still excited and grateful they're doing this!

    Please someone ask this!

These boots are horrendous to the old boots.

Anything passed 09 the boots have gone down hill ever since.

Needless to say I haven't purchased a boot since.

No, I did win for night 2 as my #1 choice. Luckily my friend/ticket buddy put his #1 choice for night one and got pulled....and he put in for the screening as well and lost, I'm guessing that's the theory you're chasing...

Exactly. I heard Driven to Tears on PJ Radio in the car today from MSG II and I turned it way up so I could hear the crowd when Sting came out to relive that moment and it was almost inaudible...such and awesome moment that is totally lost on the boot.

I highly doubt they'll play at this, but you can't help but wonder.

Anyone have an extra? Still looking if anyone needs a +1. Have stuff to trade and whatnot. :)

Its best not to raise expectations. it could be a showing of night one just as it's advertised. surrounded by 10 club fans? more than enough for me. anyone out there have an extra ticket??

Ouch. Ended up going 1 for 3 for Fenway events.

If it makes you feel better, I was 0 for 3 for Fenway. I did manage to get concert tickets through the public on-sale, but I'm feeling quite discouraged. Especially as a longtime Ten Club member. And from Massachusetts.

    Hope I am wrong."

Weak...when was the last time they played fenway?...or the last time they had 2000 fan club members in a music venue? pic that mic back up....you sure don't seem like you hope you are wrong

There is a difference between playing three full shows in a row and playing a few songs at a fan club only event in between two shows. If you go in expecting the band to appear and play 30 songs you are going to be disappointed. But 2 or 3? That is quite possible.

I'm still looking for a ticket should anyone have a spare. I'm happy to play tour guide if you're an out of towner and introduce you to a pretty darn cool group of friends who already have tickets if you're feeling social.

Exactly. I'm thinking a 6 song set. All acoustic except for last song which will be Porch and Ed crowd surfs, lol

A 4-6 song set over an hour or so. If they picked out some of their favorites and talked about how they wrote the song as a group before each song that would be the most special ever.

Made you were feel like you were there. The 2010 boots were the last ones I remember that you could really here the crowd noise. Hopefully they change it going forward so you get some of the crowd. That being said, it's nice that we can even get boots from the shows we attend in the first place

I'm not attending Fenway 1. I have an extra for Fenway 2. (My extra for Fenway 2 was sold but now it's available bc the buyer wanted 4 seats together and fortunately for her she found them.)

I'd love to sell my extra Fenway 2 to someone who has an extra HOB ticket or who can connect me to an extra. All I wish for is as advertised.... A screening of the show I'm missing in a room with a bunch of other pj fans. How amazing will that be???
