I have so much more fun alone. Usually, I know a lot of people at the venue but I might get a ticket alone. Hang out with friends prior and then disappear in the place.
I was at MSG II alone this year, right behind the stage was soooo f-ing great.
PJ fans are usually great people so it's never a big deal to be alone.

any time there is anything i want to see and no one wants to see it or they don't like it. i go to the movies by myself also.
it is fun to share the experience with others but music and movies are supposed to be watched and listened to so you really don't need anyone there. before and after you need people but not during.
ive gone to two shows by myself, one was one of the pj shows in e.rutherford in '06. i had a friend back out and i put a thread up here and met up with another pit number who bought the other ticket at face value off me. . .the other was the eddie show on tue. night, the reason for that was i got shut out through the ten club and then couldn't get 2 through ticketmaster, so rather than get shut out i put 1 ticket request in and got it through them. . .i prefer to go with a friend (but usually only 1,my expierience is its kind of a pain in the ass going to shows with more than one friend), but at the same time as others have mentioned some times i have a hard time finding someone to go to a show with. . .if theres a show i really want to see i would definitely go by myself

I've been to a few concerts solo....CSNY, The Who and Pearl Jam 3 times. I get more into the show when Im by myself...less distractions from everyone. Its cool meeting strangers at shows when you go solo, especially fellow 10c members.
If Im going to a Pearl Jam show, I have to be with someone who enjoys them as much as me, or else Im going solo, lol.

I LOVE LIVE MUSIC!!! I'm 47 yrs young and all my buddies still live in the "classic rock era"....I'm soooo done with that music.Back in the Grateful Dead days we would get big groups of us to go to shows...The Garden, Nassau Col, the Spectrum etc..But now every one is married w/children (including me) no one can get out of work, can't get a baby sitter, every excuse in the book. So, now I go to most of my shows solo. Bob Weir and Ratdog-always solo. Don't have to worry about drunkin friends forgetting where you parked your car, etc,etc. I drive in by myself, have a cuban cigar and a Red Bull and I'm golden!! After the show I have my mini-playmate filled with water and sodas, maybe a sandwhich and I'm good for the ride home.I'm telling you...the older you get the harder to find the time to get friends together....but I won't give up...I'll just fly solo!!
I sat at Gigantour alone for an hour or so. I got a taste of being alone, it wasn't the full thing, but it wasn't too bad...

Going to Ed Toronto #1 solo....should be a different experience, but one of the best parts at PJ shows is the people you meet sitting around you so I'm not too worried!
