    Beacon is much further uptown in a nice residential neighborhood-
    MSG is on 33rd and 8th
    Beacon is on 75th between Broadway & Amsterdam (expensive real estate)
    -not like anywhere in NYC is inexpensive!

    It's further uptown with phenomenal acoustics and small enough that each seat is good. Saw BB King and Miles Davis there in the 80's. I would've loved to have seen this show and hope a DVD is released. Thx Lukinfan for the relay.
