B.C. to Boston

My family and I are travelling across Canada in a motorhome this summer. We're from British Columbia, and have decided that once we hit the East Coast we will drop down to Boston and take in one of the Fenway shows.
I am calling on any fans from Boston (and vicinity) to help point me in the right direction on where to stay that is safe, clean, and reasonably close to the city. My wife and I are 42, kids are 16 and 8. My vision is a campground situation, or if someone has property and doesn't mind four Canadians hanging around, we could make it our home base while we check out Boston, then rock out at Fenway!
We would love to meet fellow PJ fans from the other side of the continent, and potentially return the favour one day!
