Never Been to Fenway / Boston Questions.

We just found out the wife is pregnant (again!) so we are planning "one last trip" before the chaos of having 3 kids begins. Anyway, we are heading to Fenway Night 1 and neither of us have ever been to Boston and are looking for hotels and tickets on 3rd party sites. Anyone know anything about The Inn at Longwood Medical? It's only about a mile from Fenway and has a train station right there. Also, since the chances of anyone having any extra 10C tickets for sale, we are looking on The Hub and other ticket sites. Is there a better / worse seat at Fenway? Any sections to avoid?

    The Inn is close by and by the hospitals so it's fairly safe - maybe a boring area but boston is small and you can easily get around town via the T

    As for seats - not on the field will be cheaper but further away - the grandstand seats are generally small and cramped but hopefully everyone will be standing and rocking

    the pavilion or state street club seats are newer but higher up - could be a cool point of view

    the bud roof deck was selling packages for charity with food and drink but not sure if that's still ongoing

    Also, if you buy grandstand seats, be aware there are seats that are literally behind poles that will obstruct your view. Use this site to assist so you don't get stuck in a shitty seat. http://www.preciseseating.com/
