Ticketmaster settlement vouchers?

pjpitt89pjpitt89 Posts: 1,848
Wasn't sure where to post this. I'm sure I'm not the only one who received an email from a class action suit against TM around a month ago. It stated that I would be receiving credits for tickets bought throughout a multi-year span. The credits are $2.25 for certain purcahses made during that time.
So today the vouchers became live. I have like 10 of those $2.25 vouchers (which seems WAY too few), but then I have a handful of "free pair of GA tix to select shows". It has a link for the select shows, but then it says the page doesn't exist.

Anyone else have any info?

I have some of those credits as well. If people don't use them, in a year, they then have to offer the free GA tickets. So chances are they might never offer free shows. It's much more complicated than what I just wrote, but to my memory, that is the jist of it.

Interested too. I have several "2 free GA tickets" and $2.25 vouchers.

I have 17 of the $2.25 codes, which I believe was the max if I remember reading the settlement notice email correctly. Didn't really pay that much attention to any of it. Didn't seem like much of a discount, considering it was limited to one per order and they now charge $3+ for Standard Mail delivery of a hard ticket, which used to be free.

Where do you find how many you have? I got the email about the settlement but don't see the codes.

    I go these too
also got free GA tickets last year for a separate case settlement directly related to PNC Arts Center in NJ

Let's just say that the pickings were slim for the free shows.

I selected Train and never went

I have a shitload of free ticket codes and vouchers for $2.25. Can't find the list of events that the free GA tix are eligible for.
  • I haven't bought from ticketmaster in forever. Probably 6 years. I bought plenty of shows in the lawsuit timeframe though, so how do I get what's 'owed' to me?

You have to log in to your Ticketmaster / LiveNation account and go to the "My Account" page.
Under the Vouchers section...click on the link for "Active Vouchers."

Thanks! Found it looks like I got a half dozen wondering what shows will be available for the free tickets. The $2.25 credits are kinda funny considering how high their fees are...
  • Just found mine. Holy fuck! I've got a ton.

i didn't receive an email but a friend mentioned this to me. I have 35 vouchers or tickets. I can imagine entering the long redemption code and losing some choice tickets for taking too long.

Seems that the vouchers area only shows up if you log in via ticketmaster.com. I'm not sure if I have any vouchers because right now it's actually saying "We are currently experiencing difficulties. Please check back again at a later time." So I have no idea if the vouchers would be from .ca ticket purchases, or only .com purchases. I have seen some Canadians say that they did have vouchers, but they didn't mention if they'd bought a bunch of tix from .com or if they carried over from .ca. Time will tell.... not sure if this error message is going to go away or not!

...after reading the lawsuit, there actually may be a shot that the free shows don't all suck with the 60% shortfall requirement. Basically as long as people don't cave and use their tickets on shit-shows, Live Nation will have to release an additional minimum of 100 tickets to at least 60% of their venues in the following year.

    (b) Class Members shall also receive a separate set of codes (one per
transaction over the Class Period, with a cap of 17 codes) that may be redeemed for concert
tickets at Live Nation owned or operated venues, subject to availability and limitations, a
maximum of two Ticket Codes (four tickets) eligible for use per event. The tickets will be for
general admission seating at designated concert events at Live Nation owned or operated venues,
To the extent there is any Shortfall (as defined below) in benefits redeemed during any year
during the first four years after Final Approval of the Settlement (as explained below), then to
make up such Shortfall in each subsequent year, and subject to the limitation below, Live Nation
will arrange for at least 100 tickets at each event to be made available to the Class Members free
of charge for at least 60% of the events that take place at Live Nation owned or operated
amphitheaters. If the 100 ticket per event minimum/60% amphitheater requirement would result
in more tickets being made available than are required to meet the Shortfall in any particular
year, then in such year(s) Ticketmaster may make tickets available in fewer numbers and/or at
    fewer amphitheater events

PS. my free ticket codes are now gone and only the discount are in the active Vouchers.

I'm guessing they removed the ticket vouchers until the event list is finalized to avoid confusion.

They have released the list of artists and cities. Like we all imagined, it is mostly garbage big packaged tours. I live in Athens, GA, and the closest cities are Charlotte, Raleigh, and Nashville. I have 22 pairs of tickets so if anyone sees something they like, let me know!

I used my first code and picked up 2 tickets for the Ray LaMontagne show at the White River State Park in Indy...it would've cost me close to $100 without the voucher!!
DEFINITELY worth the drive to see this show again!!

I've tried accessing my vouchers several times over several days and each time get the (b.s.??) response "at present we're experiencing overwhelming load to our systems...sign up for notifications by email...we'll be in touch as soon as possible." Anyone else running into this?

Uh, anyone still missing their actual codes? I see a list of what I'm eligible for, but none of them have codes.
