ISO: Wrigley Flag.

I thought I seen awhile back a flag from the Wrigley show. A white flag with the letters PJ in blue. Would be interested in one to hang outside my house. Or if anyone has more info to share it will be much appreciated. Thanks.

These were kinda tough to come by. I was lucky and got hooked up through a friend. Awesome piece for sure. Good luck on the hunt!

They were sold at Wrigley in '13. I found a small merch store on the outside wall of the concourse & bought the hanging display flag as it was the last they had.

It's themed after the 'w' flag that gets hung at Wrigley after a win. There are various traditions about hanging a personal Cubs 'W' flag, but you could get better info about that from an actual Cubs fan.

Amazingly, during a quick Google image search, I only came up with a single correct image. This thing is pretty God damn rare. (Pardon the tweet, I don't know the correct way to post pictures on here)

I sold mine to someone on here for cheap. I just didn't have anywhere to display it. I like my pennants better.

    Good luck on your search.

Hmmm...so I didn't realize it had the Wrigley Field-Chicago lettering on it. It's less desirable to me now. I do like the idea or concept but would of preferred with just the PJ on it. I wonder does any one know of any other Pearl Jam flags that don't have location or venue of a show on it? Only flags I ever see have location, like the common European ones you see everywhere. Man, I can think of some sweet PJ flag ideas that would be cool. Shit, I would even hang an alive stickman flag on the house. PS: My neighbors will hate it. Lol

Google 'make a flag cheap' and you'll see some easy options.

I think he was indicating that he wants to sell it to a grateful local guy who can hang it from the balcony for all of chicago to see wink wink

Sorry Merkin Baller, but the answer is "yes". I brought it home from Wrigley and was going to hang it on my wall ... well, that got shot down and I put it in my PJ Storage Box and this thread reminded me about it.

    Fair enough, no apology necessary.

My wife shoots down plenty, and I only hang my flag when I have PJ shows to go to.

Sorry if I came across in an unintended manner.

I dont know how authentic they are, but on craigslist there is a guy in la california who i purchased 2 from years ago. As i was not at wrigley, i cannot tell if they are real or fake. Im assuming fake. The ones i got were 1 sided, as in graphics only on 1 side. Has other cities as well. And i dont even know if they are still up. If this helps anyone out, i did my part!

I bought the Black one from a guy. it's probably not "authentic", in fact, 10C shut down his ebay site after i asked them about it. The guy had one on craiglist as well that I did buy.

tell you what, may not be the real thing, but looks friccin sweet hanging in my basement entryway. you go in my basement, first thing you see in the PJ Wrigley black flag.
  • Was about 5 deep in merch in that oven of a city. Got one of those flags cause GO CUBS! And it was PJ. That concert was awesome. Thank god they came back on stage after that storm. Such memories. Cant wait for Wrigley 2016! 65 days!!!

Merkin Baller - all is cool and I didn't take it the wrong way. Just don't ask what else I found in my PJ storage box ..

At first I thought it was odd someone would buy it & not even open it. But when you said the words "it got shot down", it all made sense.

    Now about that box.......

I did the same. The flag is huge. Nowhere to hang it.

I think there were 2 types of Wrigley flags. The large square white PJ ones that were sold at merch stands and triangle shaped flags that were hung on the roof of the park. I think those were later sold for charity.
