Clash of the Titans vs. The Princess Bride

Old-school Clash of the Titans vs. The Princess Bride.

Both great movies. Which do you prefer?

My choice is Clash of the Titans. Loved those special effects so much, I could'nt bear to watch the newer version.

Wasn't that dreamy Harry Hamlin in Clash?

Me, I'll take Princess Bride. Too much good stuff and cast and scenes, and...yeah. Total classic.

I reckon Princess Bride would slay the Beastmaster as well. What about Willow vs. Beastmaster? Would that be more of a contest? I haven't watched Beastmaster .

BM was with Marc Singer, who was the greatest tier 2 fantasy semi leading man of the early 80's. I'm not sure PB would slay him. Willow was a much more serious movie than the Beastmaster.

FWIW, I much prefer Clash of teh Titans to Princess Bride. PB never did it for me. I must have seen Clash as many times as I've seen Time Bandits.. another favorite from my youth.

And I LOVE Time Bandits. Start to finish, and George's song at the credits. Just a beautiful, funny, sweet and actually quite deep film.

I'm going to have to watch that this weekend. Thanks for the info! Now I'm curious to see how Beastmaster would fare against PB.

Beastmaster is fun and has some of the worst special effects ever. But definitely a B movie, not at all in the same class as Princess Bride. Maybe Beastmaster vs. Sheena. They both have Tanya Roberts topless.

Oh man, I forgot about her till you mentioned her name.

That Sheena is NOT a punk rocker!

Never saw Clash but I saw Princess Bride many times in 2nd grade on HBO and The Movie Channel when it started airing on pay tv. My parents even taped it for me when it premiered on HBO.
