....It could've been easily 1 billion except the hackers misspelled the banks they wanted to send the requests for the money. Which threw up red flags and the rest of the money was not sent out.

Many of these foreign banks don't even want to report these heists. Has anyone here even heard of this heist I certainly didn't? A coworker told me about it and I didn't believe it until I read the Time magazine article he gave me. These robbers probably never broke sweat to pull this off.

This link is from a couple of years ago, but it shows how there really isn't a secure network anywhere. At least not any that are used regularly by the general public. I am scared to know how much of my personal data is floating around cyberspace.

Here's some of the scariest parts of the article...

About 110 million Americans — equivalent to about 50% of U.S. adults — have had their personal data exposed in some form in the past year, said Tim Pawlenty, president of the Financial Services Roundtable and the former governor of Minnesota.

About 80% of hacking victims in the business community didn't even realize they'd been hacked until they were told by government investigators, vendors or customers, according to a recent study by Verizon cited by Pawlenty.

As for the specific topic, yes I think this is the future. Smart fuckers play for both teams and as long as banking is done over networks, people will hack it.
