cover song only concert? Any chance that the best cover band of all time would do such a thing?

  • Their amazing works easily destroy any song they have or could cover. Boring!

I could see a cover only encore like Foo fighters did a couple years ago.

I love that they do some awesome covers but wouldn't be so enthused about a covers only show. I'm not sure I can take another version of Takin it to the Streets again.

I was actually pretty surprised at how good it did sound but it's just not a song I'd like to see them cover.

I do think a cover only encore would be pretty cool.

5 song 1st encore of cover jams THEY like to play..regardless of obscurity...or 5 song medley of songs from their favorite albums. No message board requests..it would have to be followed by a 10-15 song regular encore to make everyone pleased..

I'm probably in the minority, but I don't like the covers. I'd much rather see those 2-3 covers per show replaced with their own songs that maybe never get played.

i do appreciate your sentiment, truly. but please PJ, do not imitate or copy anyone else. you are who you are for everything you've ever done. including doing everything BUT what others have done. no offense Frank.

I'd love to hear Fortunate Son, but wouldn't want an entire concert of covers.

Never would want an all covers show but always thought they could put out a killer live covers album. I have a playlist on my iPod of about 30 covers and it's pretty awesome.

I'm up for it. I guarantee that if PJ announced this show, it would sell out in record time. I would love to hear a whole show of absolutely new stuff. I have heard all the original PJ songs plenty of times. Its not like they would do this every night. Just a one shot deal. It would be like christmas morning and having 30-ish gifts to open.

I'd take a covers only show over another album in its entirety show.

Philly 2005. I think there's 10 covers in that one. 1/3 of the show
    I've met Rob

A covers album for charity is a fantastic idea.
