I'm very curious about others comments.

Does it matter at all that's the Supreme Court has ruled that's abortion is federally legal?

"But in the former period, states may not place restrictions on abortions that place an 'undue burden' on a woman's right to choose," he said. "Thus, the central problem with the Oklahoma law is its effect on pre-viability abortions. It should stand to reason that a categorical ban on pre-viability abortions (even with an exception where necessary to save the life of the pregnant woman) is, indeed, an 'undue burden,' and is therefore unconstitutional."

    So there's that.

The "party of small government" is mandating that teenage girls raped by their shitbag fathers must carry and give birth to their incestuous babies.
    Big surprise.

If I read the info correctly this law doesnt make getting an abortion illegal it makes providing an abortion ilegal.

The governor has 5 business days to sign it or veto it. Hopefully she will do the right thing and veto it.

Either way it violates Roe v. Wade

I'm thinking it would be career suicide if the governor doesn't veto this.

Pot is illegal by the Feds rules. The states have deemed it legal...

    True.

The argument there is the feds are looking the other way (for the most part) in those states where pot is legal. And it won't be long before pot is taken off the schedule 1 list.

Smart move! My guess is OK just dodged a multi-million dollar tourist income loss.

But then maybe not- I'm not really sure what there is worth seeing there.

If you think NC got negative attention because of the bathroom bill, imagine the shit storm this law would have created had the governor not vetoed.

Not surprised at the veto. Look at what happened to NC and the boycott by many companies.

Oklahoma is a weird state. I remember Tattoos were finally legal in the state not too long ago and the beer alcohol content was regulated also.

Bravo to OK for striking down this law.

i have a very hard time believing that she vetoed it because it is the right thing to do.

the bill probably was not extreme enough for the governor.
