    one of my all time favorite pj songs.. and i voted pj, but in 3 months i may switch, such a good radiohead song..

    I like both but not even close.
    Just like Burn the Witch Radiohead should be smart enough to come up with original song names.
    First thing I said was is Radiohead doing covers now?

    for me its close. very close. the layers in the rh verison are soooo good, i dont expect many rh votes after the album being out a week, but i can see in time this being a great song.. for what its worth, rh were kicking the present tense around a long time, liek a lot of their songs, the origins sometimes are a dozen years or longer before theyre released

    I've been waiting for this poll haha. My two favorite bands but PJ gets the nod here as their Present Tense is a top 5 song for me.

    RH PT is a very good song, PJ PT is a great song! That being said RH is still making masterpieces like In Rainbows and AMSP while PJ is giving us Backspacer and Lightning Bolt which, have good songs but, will never be confused with the word masterpiece!

    agree with this. I find RH pushes the envelope with every release. They grab your mind and soul, rip it up and build it back up all in one song, always making you question your very existence, and what as a collective we are doing to each other and this planet.

    I actually haven't LOVED a Radiohead album since OK Computer (In Rainbows and the new album are good, not great IMO, and the rest are not as good as that for me), so I can't agree with your overall statement here. But I do agree that Backspacer and LB were a real step down for PJ, especially BS.

    That's not necessarily true. PJ has lost these polls here before, depending on the song choices. I would be happy to choose certain RH songs over PJ songs. But in this case, I think PJ's Present Tense is waaaaay better than RH's.

    im curious if anyone's opinion has differed after some of these live radiohead shows.
    i went to both msg shows (A+) and this song was stellar. A real grower in true radiohead fashion, and there is so much going on musically in this song. It's really close for me, but I think pj still gets the nod.
